Cut up

I remember as a child growing up in Jamaica, the machete was used to cut sugar cane, clear brush, among other things. There were rare instances in which it was used as a weapon back then, but how times have changed! An eruption of machete attacks in cities across Massachusetts has law enforcement officials worried about the savage weapons, which can be bought in stores for as little as $25 with no questions asked. In short, another unregulated weapon, which could potentially decapitate a victim, has hit the streets. According to police reports, since the start of 2008, there have been at least seven machete attacks in Boston, Lynn, Springfield and Chicopee.
